We are now looking for a Senior Workshop Technician to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Istanbul, Türkiye What You Will Be Doing The Services Technician provides Workshop activities on own reference product and has a senior role in his/her specialization. The major focus of the position is troubleshooting and maintenance services on the site or the workshop. As Senior Workshop Technician, your work will focus on these responsibilities: Perform from basic supporting tasks (like; cleaning, lifting, moving and protecting components) till monitoring and completing the work tasksAll major maintenance of Wartsila EnginesOn-site and On-Workshop technical advice and support for Wärtsilä’s network of customersComplete the maintenance / troubleshooting session(s) according to the Wartsila quality and customer services requirementsRecord the measurement data on the relevant document(s), providing internal and external reports when neededEnsure that the work is executed according to Wartsila Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelinesEnsure that all work carried out is to specified company standardsOn occasion, support the team leader by supervising small tasksCarry out overhauling of Engine components independently under instructions of lead Engineers and/or Manager of the departmentUse measuring tools and similar equipmentWork on lathe, milling, and borverk workbenches To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: Technical background, working within an installation or maintenance and repair environmentFlexible approach to work; willing to travel to different customer sites, sometimes at short noticeSafety-first attitudeAwareness of cost and effectiveness, and the impact you can haveKnowledge of Wärtsilä Engines is considered an advantage - O/H expert (32-34SG-46DF-50SG -20DF-Wartsila 38-Wartsila26)Pro-active and independent individual with a team player attitudeDemonstrable problem-solving and decision-making skillsGood communication and team working abilitySystematic approach to working with strong customer focusBasic English both spoken and writtenDiploma of a vocational school or similar educational institution. (Industrial Vocational High School and/or Vocational High School Graduate (Preferably from CNC, machine, lathe-leveling or related departments)To be able to travelTo be a disciplined and work ethic employeeTo be open to learning and being taughtTo comply with the training given and demonstrate the desired behavioursTo have completed military serviceTo be residing in the Anatolian side of Istanbul and preferably close to Tuzla Why you and us?
