Job descriptionPosition Overview: We are seeking a hardworking, flexible, growth-oriented individual with 2 years of experience, good computer skills, and excellent phone skills to join our team as a Solar Technical Surveyor and Support. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site surveys, assessing project feasibility, providing technical support, managing projects, and offering after-sales support. Your expertise will contribute to our goal of promoting sustainable energy solutions and reducing our carbon footprint.Responsibilities:Site Surveys and Assessments:Conduct thorough on-site surveys to evaluate the suitability of solar energy installations.Gather data on solar potential, shading, roof conditions, and other relevant factors.Analyse survey results to determine the optimal placement and configuration of solar panels.Feasibility Analysis:Assess the technical and financial feasibility of proposed solar projects.Collaborate with the sales team and project managers to evaluate customer requirements and develop suitable solar energy solutions.Prepare feasibility reports outlining the projected energy production, cost estimates, and return on investment (ROI).Technical Support:Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams, including sales, design, and installation teams.Assist with the design and sizing of solar energy systems based on site-specific data and customer requirements.Collaborate with engineers to address any technical challenges during the project implementation phase.Project Management:Manage solar energy projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.After-Sales Support:Provide comprehensive after-sales support, including troubleshooting, maintenance guidance, and system performance monitoring.Address customer inquiries and resolve technical issues in a timely and professional manner.Conduct site visits to assess and resolve any post-installation concerns or warranty-related matters.Documentation and Reporting:Create accurate and detailed documentation, including site survey reports, technical specifications, project schedules, and progress reports.Maintain organized records of project-related information, ensuring easy access for future reference.Industry Knowledge and Continuous Learning:Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulations related to solar energy systems.Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills through self-learning, training programs, and attending industry conferences.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as renewable energy, electrical engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience may be considered.Minimum of 2 years of experience in conducting site surveys and providing technical support for solar energy systems.Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) technology, inverters, battery storage, and related components.Proficiency in using solar design software and tools for simulation and analysis.Good computer skills, including familiarity with software programs and tools for documentation and project management.Excellent phone skills to effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and team members.Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various project sites.
