Caribbean Connector is an early-stage digital platform on a mission to unite Caribbean people globally through an integrated Employment Pipeline, Social Platform, and Marketplace. Internship Overview:

We’re seeking Front-End and Back-End Developer Interns to join our small but mighty team. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience contributing to a meaningful platform designed to uplift Caribbean communities around the world. This is a remote, unpaid internship that can evolve into a longer-term opportunity. 

Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

Front-End Interns

        •        Develop and refine UI components using React or similar frameworks

        •        Help implement responsive and accessible design for web and mobile

        •        Collaborate on user flows and improve overall UX

Back-End Interns

        •        Assist in building scalable APIs and database structures (Node.js, Firebase, or similar)

        •        Work with authentication, user profiles, and data integration

        •        Ensure security and reliability of backend services

Skills and Abilities

What We’re Looking For:

• Passion for Caribbean culture and community-building is a plus!
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Front End Developer

Proficiency or coursework in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and React (Next.js or Angular is a plus).

Experience with Bulma and other modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind, Bootstrap).

Understanding of UI/UX best practices, responsive design principles, and accessibility standards.

Experience with Git/GitHub and version control workflows.

• Back End Developer

Familiarity or coursework in Node.js, Express.js, or similar back-end frameworks.

Experience working with RESTful API design and integration (knowledge of GraphQL is a plus).

Understanding of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).

Knowledge of Git/GitHub for version control.

Awareness of security best practices and scalable application design.

Bonus Points If You Have:

        •        Experience with responsive/mobile-first design

        •        Familiarity with version control (Git)

        •        Prior contributions to team-based or personal coding projects

Educational Qualification

Formal and informal training is acceptable.
